EPFL’s relationship with Rolex is significant. At the end of 2009, 84 EPFL graduates were working for Rolex, employed in research and development, production, information technology and industrialisation. Rolex also commissions research from EPFL into microtechnology and material sciences.
Rolex’s participation as a major sponsor of EPFL’s vision to develop its campus through the creation of the Rolex Learning Center reflects its deep-rooted tradition of philanthropy in the arts, science and culture which also includes such projects as the Rolex Awards for Enterprise and the Rolex Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative.
